Description

This is a canvas print of our CopyCat digital painting. It includes some educational info about the original painting “American Gothic” by Grant Wood on the back.

The canvas is not a loose canvas but comes ready to hang. I recommend using those 3m command strips on it.

CopyCats is a family business that I started with my seven-year-old daughter because we appreciate classical art and cats. Our CopyCats (what we call our paintings) are great for adults that love cats and classical paintings, and they are a great introduction to classical art for children. Great for kids’ rooms and nurseries.

Fun facts about the original painting:

The house is an actual house called the Dibble House. It is still standing and open to visitors. The woman is Grant’s sister, and the man was Grant’s dentist. The painting won 3rd place and $300 from the Art Institute in Chicago. It created outrage from farmers as they felt they were painted negatively, backward, and not modern.
